A customer for several years before being employed there, Stephen Wilkinson was eventually hired to work at Rockaway Records in January 1993 and continued to work there over the course of 10 years. Late in 2006, Rockaway put its entire inventory up for sale. In January of 2007, Rockzone Records purchased Rockaway’s entire inventory which was based in Mesa, Arizona for 22 years. Rockaway was widely known for its collectibles as well as being a great source of quality vinyl, arguably the best condition in Arizona.
